Job Description

  • Hyundai Automotive South Africa is looking for a General Manager: Commercial to plan, manage, and monitor commercial vehicle sales activities and processes to drive sales commercial vehicle sales.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Process & Operations

  • Ensure compliance with legal and governance requirements
  • Contribute to strategy development and target setting
  • Define and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Manage end-to-end sales processes
  • Build and maintain relationships with OEMs/importers and stakeholders
  • Monitor performance against operational plans and adjust as required
  • Manage operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Maintain digital and social media sales content aligned to standards
  • Resolve operational issues within guidelines

Financial Management

  • Manage budgets in line with policies and procedures
  • Monitor and report on budget variances
  • Ensure efficient utilisation of assets and resources

Client & Sales Management

  • Promote and secure vehicle sales through relationship-based selling
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality customer service
  • Monitor and improve customer experience processes

People Management

  • Create a productive and engaging work environment
  • Manage recruitment, performance, development, and employee relations

 Experience & Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification (preferred)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar environment
  • 1–3 years’ supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Basic to intermediate experience in sales operations (minimum exposure required)
