A well-established conveyancing firm is seeking a dynamic, resourceful, and solutions-driven Admitted Conveyancer to join their Cape Town branch in a dual role combining Conveyancing and Risk & Compliance Management. Role Overview ️ Risk & Compliance Officer Responsibilities: Report on risk exposure and provide recommendations to senior management and the board Manage and control fraud, losses, and anti-money laundering processes Verify legitimacy of source of funds for purchasers Confirm validity of IDs, visas, and passports Ensure legal presence of purchasers in South Africa Update and monitor the Risk Management & Compliance Programme (RMCP) across branches Oversee FICA compliance, risk assessments, and KYC processes Ensure POPI consent compliance Conduct internal audits and manage third-party compliance Serve as Compliance Officer in terms of the FIC Act ⚖️ Conveyancing Attorney Responsibilities: Attend to client signing appointments and ensure FICA compliance Liaise closely with Transfer Secretaries Manage client queries and complaints efficiently Keep Directors informed on resolved matters Generate leads and build a client base over time Build and maintain strong client relationships Ensure all appointments and processes are handled timeously ✅ Minimum Requirements: LLB degree Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Admitted Attorney Admitted Conveyancer with at least 1 year’s conveyancing experience Strong client service, communication, and problem-solving skills Driven, detail-oriented, and results-focused Willingness to travel when required This role is ideal for a proactive professional who can balance technical conveyancing expertise with risk oversight and regulatory compliance leadership
