Senior AP Accountant Join a team managing international accounts payable processes with a focus on vendor management and process efficiency.Cape Town, SA | Monday to Friday 9 am-5 pm (UK working hours)Salary: R35,000 - R50,000.About Our ClientOur client is a company operating in the video industry.The Role: Senior AP AccountantThis role exists to manage the end-to-end accounts payable process and maintain vendor relationships. It contributes to business operations by ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and process optimization. The main focus is on handling supplier invoices, payment runs, and month-end closing activities within a multi-entity or international environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate 4+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or Finance the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Process and post supplier invoices and prepare supplier payment runs.Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable mailbox and resolve vendor queries.Support month-end and year-end closing processes and supplier statement and review weekly AP ageing reports.Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and support process improvement the preparation and submission of VAT returns.About YouBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.4+ years experience in Accounts Payable or Finance in German (written and spoken).Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, invoice processing, and Microsoft Excel skills.Experience working within a multi-entity or international environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with international and remote teams.Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Currently studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).Fluency in Dutch (written and spoken).Experience using Xero and/or Exact accounting systems.Knowledge of European VAT supporting process improvements or finance automation initiatives.
